Installation#
Deployment options#
AMD Resource Manager can be deployed in multiple configurations:
Standalone: Resource management features operate independently, providing cluster management, authentication, and quota allocation without AI development tools
Combined: Both AMD Resource Manager and AMD AI Workbench deployed together, providing enterprise resource management alongside AI development capabilities
When deployed as standalone, the Resource Manager focuses on infrastructure and access control. When combined with AI Workbench, it adds enterprise-grade resource management to AI development workflows.
Install AMD Resource Manager#
The AMD Resource Manager can be installed using the following guides:
On-prem installation: Install both AMD AI Workbench and AMD Resource Manager
DigitalOcean installation: Install in the DigitalOcean cloud environment
Helm installation guide: This guide provides step-by-step instructions for deploying the AMD enterprise AI reference stack on a Kubernetes cluster using the Helm charts in the repository
Once the installation completes, continue with the Quick start to onboard users and verify default projects and quotas.
Connect compute clusters#
After the Resource Manager UI is available, onboard clusters:
Complete on-cluster prerequisites and installs in Connecting a cluster to AMD Resource Manager.
Register the cluster in the UI using Create a new cluster in the UI.
